Deputy Chief Brandon Ream started his career with Miami County EMS in April of 2011 as a reserve EMT. In September of 2011, he was promoted to Part Time EMT. In early 2012, Brandon filled a role of Temporary Full Time EMT due to an injury of a full-time staff member. In July 2012, Brandon was promoted to full time EMT. In the spring of 2018, Brandon obtained his Advanced EMT from Butler County Community College and was promoted to B-Shift Lieutenant after being accepted into the Paramedic Program at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Brandon graduated Cum-Laude from Kansas City Kansas Community College in 2020 with an A.A.S. in Paramedicine.
In March of 2021, Brandon was promoted to the open C-Shift Battalion Chief spot. Brandon also serves as the Fire Chief for the Fontana Fire Department in rural Miami County, and Lead Death Investigator for the Miami County Coroner’s Office. Deputy Chief Ream resides in Fontana with his wife, 2 daughters, and dog.
